Bread Bugs-

Yeast is scary.

I remember the talk I had with my mom when I was younger about how bread was made.

There are BUGS IN MY FOOD!?!?!?!

That didn't go over too well. I think I went on a strike for anything bread

related for probably 2 days... and then got over it.

Until my recent attempt to re-create my mom's rolls I have strayed clear from yeasty recipes.

(probably for good reason)

Round #1

Doesn't this look appetizing?

TOTALLY my fault. I called my mom for guidance and ended up forgetting to put in the sugar...

Round #2

All is right in the world

  1. Well, look at you baking away...and I'm seeing wheat there, too, you little domestic goddess, you!
Baking yeasty things is like Elise driving the car. It always gets better with practice. :)
    Love you and miss you!

  2. Don't feel too bad. When I was a wee lad, I wanted to make breakfast for my Mom. So, I cooked up some Malt-O-Meal and when it came time to add the salt, let's just say I didn't know the difference between tsp and Tbsp....turned out great (if you like salt).
