Bentley's 1st Birthday is tomorrow and you could say I'm a little bit in denial. I cannot believe it! Where did the time go and where did my baby go?! If you follow us on Instagram, you saw a little sneek peek of the birthday photoshoot we had for Bentley. I can't wait to post all of the details... it was SO FUN and we got so many cute shots. Love my little guy!
When I got the call from Good Things Utah saying that they would love to have me on... I just about died. Literally! I texted Brady immediately and I just couldn't hold in my excitement!
Freaking out. Huge understatement!
On Monday June 3rd, my mom and I headed out bright and early to the ABC studio in Salt Lake City. We got there about an hour before show time so we had a lot of time to set up and figure out what I was going to wear. I am the most indecisive person in the world so I brought a few choices to choose from. :) I am so grateful that my mom was able to be there with me, she definitely helped calm my nerves! As soon as we got into the studio Gretchen came up and started talking with me immediately. She was so sweet! I'm so glad that I got to talk with her before hand.
Surprisingly, right before we started I wasn't that nervous. If you know me, that is very unusual! I get nervous for just about everything including church talks. Going on Live TV with thousands of people watching? No big deal, right!?
It ended up being so much easier than I was expecting. I was thinking there would be a live audience watching us and there wasn't. That helped a ton! I felt like I was just having a conversation with her and I didn't have to look at the cameras which was nice. I messed up a couple of times and there are a couple things that I would have changed but all in all, I think it went really well!
It was so much fun and I would do it again in a heartbeat!

After our segment, I was able to sit down and talk with Gretchen and Nicea for a while. They are the sweetest girls ever and absolutely gorgeous! It was such a fun experience, can't wait to do it again! :)

ReplyDeleteYour son has a June birthday like my son and I, June is the best! My first son was a year old and the next day he is almost 13! What happened? Am I even old enough to have a 13 year old. Just barely... :)
