A Perfect Beach Day

Happy Monday friends! We finally made our way up to Utah for Brady's break and we are loving every second of spending time with our family! First off, can I just tell you how excited I am. We are finally seniors which means we only have 1 more year until we finally graduate and only 1 more year to enjoy all of the perks of living in California. Which clearly means going to the beach as much as possible right!? We have been so blessed to have so many fun things so close to us and I know I will miss living here when we move. We are trying to take full advantage of everything while we are still here!

Oh the beach! We just can't get enough of it! Especially when we are able to go mid winter and its like 80 degrees. Seriously? It can't get any better than this!

We packed up and headed down to Laguna Beach to spend the afternoon at our most favorite place in all of California. The Montage Beach is the best beach ever and if you have the opportunity to go it is a
{must}
Everything is so beautifully landscaped and its kind of secluded so not too many people go there which makes it so much nicer! We hardly feel like we're even in California :)

I've been learning more and more how much you have to pack going anywhere with a little one.
Here are some of my top tips for taking a babe to the beach:

1. Beach Umbrella. Its super important to have some shade for those little ones {as well as us} so they don't get too much sun! Babies can get dehydrated a lot faster than an adult.

2. Bumbo. It was the nicest thing for Brady and I to be able to lay out in the sun and have the Bumbo to hold Bentley while he played with some toys in the shade underneath the umbrella.

3. Baby powder. It is the absolute best way to clean off those sandy toes or in our case sandy hands after Bentley tried to eat the sand about 100000 times :)

4. Baby Food. We brought some of our {Homemade Baby Food} because
Full belly = Happy Bentley

5. Swaddle. Bentley loves being swaddled when he sleeps and since we only have a couple of hours in between nap times we are usually running into a nap if we go to the beach. I almost always bring his swaddle so we can put him down almost anywhere. We were able to swaddle him up and put him down for a nap under the umbrella for a little bit. It was amazing!

6. Sunscreen. This is a must for not only you but for your babies! Their skin is so delicate and perfect, and we want to keep it that way!

After spending a few hours relaxing on the beach with my boys we drove up to Balboa Island and went on their Auto Ferry for our first time. We'd been wanting to go for a while now and since we were so close we couldn't pass up the chance! It was only a few dollars and totally worth it! There were lots of boats out and the view was so gorgeous!

We spent the rest of our night walking around the Newport Pier and ate dinner at BJ's. They have my most favorite dessert ever, the Pizookie! It's not a trip to BJ's without one :)

It was the most perfect beach day with my favorite boys!
