One of my most fond memories growing up was story time. I think every child can agree that it is a favorite! I can still vividly remember those books I read as a child, how they made me feel, and how much I loved them. It's a tradition that I want my children to remember as well. Now having Bentley, we have been stocking up on some of our classic favorites (think Brown Bear and The Rainbow Fish) as well as new favorites like Fairy Birds!
Fairy Birds is a brand new series created by these 2 gorgeous twins. I am pretty sure they need to adopt me. Immediately! Heidi and Heather were inspired to write a children's book series that was not only fun and interactive, but that also teaches children about service and kindness! That is when Fairy Birds was created.
Fairy Birds is all about becoming a Fairy Godmother and learning the secret ways to become one by learning six different Fairy Godmother traits. The first book of the series teaches children how to do small acts of kindness in an adventurous, fun and delightful way. Along with the book is these darling wings which can be found in their shop. Each colored feather is earned when they complete the six different Fairy Godmother traits. We are loving the message this book teaches to children!
This book is causing a movement with children to do simple acts of kindness throughout their own homes! This 'giving' movement the book is creating can delightfully be seen with this Fairy Birds video below where it shows how little readers turn into Fairy Birds themselves by doing small acts of kindness in and around their own homes. You can also check out their blog dedicated to sharing ideas on giving and spotlighting little readers that become Fairy Birds too by giving in and around their homes!
We are so thrilled to be giving away a $35 credit to the Fairy Birds shop to 1 of our readers.

Seriously some of my very favorite memories as a kid have to do with books. My most favorites are when my mom would let us cuddle up in her bed with her and she would read aloud... usually Little House on the Prairie or the Chronicles of Narnia. :-)
ReplyDeleteThis book looks fabulous! I bet my daughter would love it!
